Dear Campus Community,
As you may be aware, Hurricane Irma has recently been downgraded to a tropical storm. UNA officials have consulted with meteorologists and emergency management officers regarding the impact of this weather system as it moves into Alabama. The storm will continue to weaken, and conditions should not pose an immediate threat to our area or campus. Because of this, the University of North Alabama will run on a normal schedule for day and evening classes.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary. However, all individuals are urged to observe local conditions and use discretion when determining travel to and from campus.
As always, we will issue Lion Alerts when necessary, and we will continue to distribute information as it becomes available.
