FLORENCE, Ala.- Lions Lend a Hand is one of UNA's preeminent days dedicated to giving back and this year it's "Going Global."
The event will take place Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m., on Coby Hall lawn.
Assistant Director for Student Engagement, Bethany Green, said the Lions Lend a Hand is a day dedicated to allowing students an opportunity to serve others.
"This is also an opportunity for students to get to know one another before classes start back," Green said. "This year, we are "Going Global" by packaging meals that will be distributed to an impoverished country."
Green said the goal is to package at least 40,000 meals in two hours.
