Una Math Undergrads To Present At Research Conference

FLORENCE, Ala. - University of North Alabama undergraduate math majors John Carr and Daniel Branscomb were selected to speak at a research conference focused on undergraduate mathematics. The conference is Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
Carr's talk, Groups, Quasigroups and the Sudoku Property, will include discussion about his own original findings in non-associative structures. Carr is being mentored by Dr. Mark Greer of the mathematics department.
Branscomb's talk, Metric Distances between Cayley Tables, will include his original findings in the mathematical field of combinatorics. Branscomb is being mentored by Dr. Jesse Prince-Lubawy of the UNA mathematics department.
